When you can’t recycle something, upcycle it. This is true especially for clothes as we told you about festival jackets and bags made from upcycled tents and an upcycled origami dress made from a thousand newspaper cranes. Well, a Herefordshire based company called Re-jigged has turned that into a business as they convert unwearable clothes into children’s clothing.

Re-jigged is run from a farm in rural Herefordshire. They collect clothes for adults that are no longer suitable for resale due to some wear and tear problems. In partnership with EnviroAbility, the company source, wash, sort and arrange the clothing and then cut it up accordingly. The company then remakes the usable portions of those garments by hand into new ones using contrasting colours and fabrics and embellishments.

Moreover, garments can be custom made to a customer’s specific request. They can even use your own fabric. Customer can also follow the step by step guide to design a unique dress for kids. Prices start from £25 for a tank top. For every garment Re-jigged sells, it also donates £1 to a local charity or school.

We are happy to see more and more entrepreneurs coming up with green and innovative ideas as well as following the footsteps of bigger, more established businesses.
