Every year 55 million of printer cartridges are thrown in landfills of UK after they run empty. This not only increases pollution but poses threats to wildlife, humans and all other living beings. When the whole world is thinking about greener world, then why should we stay behind? Standup for a cause, and play your role in making this world green. Save the world by cartridge recycling today!

Printer cartridges thrown in landfills contaminate the soil and thus cause deadly threats to the plant growth and those which feed on them. They are one of the major sources of increasing global warming as well. Smoggy days and extreme weather condition, melting glaciers, intense hurricane, extinction of some species, imbalance in eco-system etc are the conditions all attributing to one cause. Moreover, empty printer cartridges also induce cancer in humans if are not properly recycled.

Cartridge recycling is simple and saves you money. A printer cartridge can be recycled three to four times .Cartridges are made of metal, plastic, rubber, timber and water. Cartridge Recycling will help saving these natural resources, which otherwise will be used in a sufficient quantity. Since world is depleting in its natural resources, we should be careful enough to save these resources via sensible adaptation of cartridge recycling.

Cartridge recycling can be done in several ways. Either recycle them for yourself or for a charity if you possess a soft-heart for the needy ones. Simply collect all your empty printer cartridges. Do not be shy even if you have to ask them from your neighbours. After, you feel you have a handsome amount of dry cartridges, take them to any of the several recycling agencies or simply give them a call. Some recycling agencies also pay you for your cartridge recycling. Does not it sound good? You are not only saving environment, human and wild lives but are also making money, simply by cartridge recycling!

If you are high in your aesthetic sense and love to create new and unique products for your home then why not do it by cartridge recycling? Open the doors of creativity and use your old cartridges to beautify your home. There are several examples; people have employed empty cartridges incredibly by making science-fiction projects, garden furniture and lamps. How would YOU like to do cartridge recycling?

Cartridge Recycling should be done by everyone who uses printers in home. Especially the corporate businesses, offices, schools and universities need to follow the concept of cartridge recycling. Save your money and environment from pollution by cartridge recycling.

Did you know that your old mobile phones or printer cartridges could be used to protect the environment and help preserve wild life? If you take a look around your apartment or house, you will inevitably find several unwanted goods that can be recycled. Recycle cartridges first, that are lying idly in your home.

When you recycle cartridges, you do not only save money but you potentially play a role in savouring those of the future generations as well as saving many lives (both animal and human). Printer cartridges thrown in landfills and dumps take 1000’s of years to decompose and in the process release harmful gases like nitrous oxide, that pollute both the air and water. Recycle cartridges, and you will also help create jobs for the unemployed. According to the Guardian, if the UK were to meet the 70% recycling target, it could create 29,400 jobs in the recycling industry.

Besides the commonly known advantage derived from recycling cartridges, it is certainly worth mentioning that when one recycle cartridges, he or she helps to preserve wildlife. Recycle cartridges and save trees and animal habitats that are needed otherwise for landfills. It means more habitats for animals, ensuring obvious decrease in animal extinction. Judge yourself and see that how much you can save environment if you recycle cartridges.

The International Union for Conservation of Nature has released its Red List of the world’s plants and animals that face extinction due to demolition of habitats and safe homes by rapid deforestation. Recycle cartridges and help save these lives to ensure that our planet is enriched with all the beauty and life it deserves.

It is just a simple step: recycle cartridges. Offices, homes and multinationals alike are all delved in the world of printing for efficiency and if every single printer cartridge were to be recycled, thousands of habitats could be saved. The first step towards this eventual conclusion is to raise awareness. Not many people are aware of the harm their non-recycling habits (especially in the case of printer cartridges) cause. I hope that by reading this post, most of you will think before throwing your cartridge in a landfill or garbage and instead resort to recycle cartridges!

Environment friendly people are always in search of new ideas for saving environment and making the world green. Tyres if not recycled or disposed properly may cause serious threats to environment and health risk.

See below, how some geniuses have recycled tyres in unique and beautiful ways.

1. Tyre Frame

This tyre frame for mirror has been made from recycled tyre. Intricately designed, layered and nailed with great detail and care.

2. Garden Trugs

Tyres can be recycled into garden trugs or plant pots that can be used for decoration and for indoor planting. They are environment friendly as well as will save you money which you would otherwise spend in buying expensive wooden trugs for your garden.

3. Tyre bags

Here is an ingenious idea of tyre recycling and an incredible addition to fashion industry. Tyres have been processed and cut in thin layered sheets that have been nailed on to bag individually.

Laborant48, used printer toner foil marvellously and created a master piece in the form of Retro lamp. Not only he has recycled his used toner cartridge foil, but has also re-used the wireframe for lamp which he had found on the street.

Get creative with your used toner cartridges, rather than filling in the landfills with carcinogenic elements present in the printer cartridges.

Is there a room in your office filled solely with used laser toner cartridges? Do your employees merely dump printer cartridges into the trash when printing, the text/images, suddenly go blank or turn light? If so, then it’s time for you to take a stand and unite your colleagues under one cause to recycle laser toner cartridges. There are many dire consequences of not to recycle laser toner cartridges. For one, the cartridges you throw in the garbage could end up in the many landfills that are already being mounded with toner cartridges.

The plastic in toner cartridges takes up to 1000 years to decompose and is hence environmentally hazardous along with many other materials disposed of in the process. Therefore, be more responsible for the sake of future generations and recycle laser toner cartridges. Here are a few tips on how you can recycle laser toner cartridges in your office:

Firstly, hold a meeting with your colleagues and employers (in the case you don’t own the business!) and inform them all about the need to recycle laser toner cartridges. Then arrange the collection of used cartridges and take them to a recycling agency.

In addition, you can set up a ‘Recycle Laser Toner Cartridges’ desk and ask your colleagues to bring their used cartridges from home or when in the office simply take the used cartridge out from the printer and take it to the recycling desk instead of throwing it away out of habit.

Furthermore, you can also get others involved in your recycling campaign! Print flyers, banners and posters from your office printers and ask everyone to pass them around to increase awareness. Print the address of your office and a contact number in case people want to recycle laser toner cartridges and drop them at your office. Eventually, as word spreads, your company will not only fulfil its corporate social responsibility but gain publicity for free.

The above easy steps will not only help you get rid of the clutter in your office but will also push you in the league of environment friendly companies, that other companies as well as customers wish to associate with. This will eventually boost your business and integrity in both the corporate world and the consumer market alike. So what are you waiting for? Call your colleagues or employees now and get started on your mini ‘Recycle Laser Toner Cartridges’ project.

It is a well known fact that the 21st century has surpassed all the scientific advancements of the preceding centuries, making the world today a hub of technology. According to the World Development Report, 43.7 per 100 people use computers and printers in high-income countries. 90% of computers used at home in the UK have printers attached to them. This is supported by the fact that over 55 million printer cartridges, in the UK alone, are disposed of in landfills.

The high cost of new cartridges has made the concept of printer cartridge recycling increasingly popular and this gives the perfect opportunity to make/save money by giving your used cartridges to a printer cartridge recycling business or by starting your own business! You can even donate your money for a good cause. Some of you might choose to be both productive and philanthropic by starting and organizing your own charity.

Collect your used printer cartridges and also ask your acquaintances and friends to contact you for refilling their cartridges. If you want to take it a professional level then there are many franchise operations that will allow you to take their name and help setting up your own printer cartridge recycling business with credibility.

2. Get Paid to Recycle Your Cartridges

If you do not want to be in the hassle of refilling your cartridges and want to save both your money and time then take your cartridges to a printer cartridge recycling agency. Companies like GreenTech will pay you a certain amount per cartridge and your part of the job will be done. The process of printer cartridge recycling will then be up taken by the agency itself.

3. Collect Your Cartridges For Charity

If you are not interested in making or saving money but possess a soft heart for the needy, then donating your empty toner cartridges to a charity will be the best option.

The above three mentioned methods are some ways to make money through printer cartridge recycling. So, choose one of these ways or get thinking and create your own ingenious money making methods from printer cartridge recycling!

The paper is known as i2R e-Paper that can be used 260 times, and needs no back light for printing. It can be produced in several colours. Re-printing is done by simply erasing the already written text by passing an electric current through it.

According to the researchers the mass production for the i2R paper will take two years. Then, we will be in a state to save few trees and environment. Until then, help environment by recycling your empty printer cartridges with GreenTech.
